BULLETIN

Mr. and Mrs. John Manning, RFD 5, Wauhob Park, have been notified by the American Red Cross that their son, Thomas Russell Manning, 21, had been killed in a traffic accident while driving a gasoline truck in Vietnam. The body will be sent to the Wetmore Funeral home.

MANNING SERVICES

Services for SP-4 Thomas R. Manning, 21, RFD 5, (Liberty township), who was killed Feb. 10 in a traffic accident in Vietnam, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wetmore Funeral home.

The Rev. Rex Mitchell, Chesterton Christian church, assisted by the Rev. Lawrence L. Swanson, Augsburg Lutheran church, Porter, will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Friday.

Born in Clovis, N. M., Dec. 3, 1945 he was the son of John and Helen (Ekin) Manning.

A 1963 graduate of Liberty Township High school, Manning had been in the service since January, 1966. A resident of Liberty township since 1961, he was a member of Chesterton Christian church. Prior to entering the service, he was employed by Midwest Steel corporation.

Surviving besides the parents are two sisters, Jayne and Cathy, both at home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell W. Manning, McKeesport, Pa., and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Ekin, Irwin, Pa.
